Founded in Pennsylvania, Vireo Recycling was created to address a growing environmental challenge: the millions of lithium-ion batteries discarded every year through disposable vape devices and other consumer electronics. These batteries often end up in landfills, where they pose environmental and safety risks while valuable materials go to waste.
Our mission is to create practical, scalable solutions that keep lithium batteries out of landfills through responsible collection, recovery, repurposing, and recycling.

Founder & CEO
Vireo Recycling was founded by Seth Miller, a marketing student at West Chester University with a passion for entrepreneurship, sustainability, and innovative environmental solutions.
Recognizing the growing problem of discarded lithium-ion batteries, Seth set out to build a company that combines environmental responsibility with practical business solutions. What began as an idea quickly evolved into a mission to create a statewide collection and recovery network that helps businesses and communities manage battery waste more responsibly.
His goal is simple:
